I don't know. It stinks of... something rotten.
Attention seeking, certainly. But even without reading the book, I feel
like it's too much information. Learning about someone on such an intimate
level feels wholly inappropriate. Like inadvertantly watching your parents
having sex.
(I did think that it was amusing that the old man refuses to wear his
hearing aid. That one made me grin. I hope that he's going around these
days saying what he wants to say and perhaps pretending to be more deaf than
he actually is. Persnickety old man.)
