I blame the petrol crisis.
I just thought I'd drop in a hello, as I've been in flagrant violation
of the periodic participation guideline lately. And a quick
recommendation for all you prose lovers: _Infinit Jest_ has come up a
few times here. I have often praised its numberless virtues on the list
myself, but I never finished it myself. So I picked up a new copy of
it, and I am reminded that the narration sometimes rings a little of
Buddy Glass. It's an entirely different kind of book from anything
Salinger wrote, but I expect plenty of you would enjoy it.
