Yale Younger Poet Series in l962, and has only published two volumes
since. With slim production and not a lot of "PoBiz," he's remained
less well known though his work is quite fine. I feel reasonably
certain that Salinger readers may enjoy The Great Fires by Gilbert.

As for a reasonable parallel, the closer writer I can think of to
quirky Jerry is Buddy.
