Well, I seem to remember trying to pry open this can of worms some time ago.
In the early 50s, when JDS was living in/and/or/around a prodigiously
priviledged city with three--count 'em THREE!--baseball teams, there were no
red-blooded yellow-bleeding bananafish who didn't cheer for the Brooklyn
Dodgers. I wasn't there, of course, but I believe it to be true.

Those sacred teams are still the only teams in the entire history of major
league baseball that are worth the emotional effort.

The Salingerina tells me that her dad drinks urine. And the MAYnard
(BAStard?) conveys the important information that her erstwhile idol once
aspired to Yankee pinstripes. I'm not sure which discrete piece of
information is most disgusting.

Thanks anyway, Bruce. The Yankees REALLY do need help!

Cheers,

Paul
