Suzanne emailed me off list last week and our exchange made me feel
pretty much like Holden being shown by Phoebe (Suzanne in this case)
that I needed to slow down and laugh a bit more...I was wondering if
it would be fun for bananafish to describe parts of their real lives
in terms of some aspect from Salinger's fiction? You see, I was
tearing through too much email and trying to balance beginning a new
school term and family health probs too furiously and seriously to
see how much I was missing. Then I got email from Suzanne and she
made a good joke which I sort of overlooked. I felt like Holden
wanting to runaway and Suzanne was like Phoebe getting in my face but
not just to tell me to slow down but to show me I needed to slow down
and laugh...anyone else care to draw parallels between life and
Salinger? will
