Well, there you go. My anxiety level was in the stratosphere until I
finally heard from both you and Mattis -- shaken but living voices from
the city I so love.

I'd have sent everyone in the whole damned city information just to
experience that slight feeling of relief again. So I'm glad I could
supply you with even the smallest measure of reassurance, as you did me.

When was I in New York? Two months ago? It feels like it was only
moments ago that I was wandering through those twin towers, making
snarky comments about their lack of height. Those beautiful buildings.
I used the ATM there. I bought some overpriced bottled water at the
snack shop. I've even been on the Morgan Stanley floors to ooh and ah
for my proud friend. (Who no longer works for them, thank God.) I'm
stunned; I can't imagine how you must feel. Be well, everyone.
