Yes, we're all a little on edge, you know? I'm flying to Florida to visit
family in November for our "Thanksgiving" holiday, and I've decided to get a
cell phone before I go and have phone numbers for the FBI handy, "just in
case." So, you see, we are all a little frazzled, or in some cases, apart
to fall apart (I'm not going to fall apart, I'm a rock. I am going to keep
my eyes open for shifty looking pilot types though. Just because I'm
paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me!). And of course I wake up
every morning and wonder if the phone will ring and the voice on the other
end will tell me I've been activated, to report to such and such at such and
such and pick up my orders.
So- we all hate each other now, looks like the bad guys win. I have often
had this high opinion of myself, how I could somehow stay out of silly
arguments and remain on good terms with all. Ha! Putz!
A teacher of mine asked me years ago "Don't you have any tact?" and I
believe that the proper response should have been "No."
