Paul is very right. This is a beautiful message he has given us.
Like Tim, I am a little surprised as to what happened exactly.
On the risk of sounding arrogant, I get the feeling that people
view me as the bad guy in all this. And maybe some of you think
i sit here smug and satisfied or something like that. This is not so.
I too, am scared and angry, just like some of you perhaps.

My take on all of this might be different. Not only i am from a different country
but also two friends of mine have been harassed on the street, just because they
looked like muslims. One of them is Egyptian, the other is, you would laugh if it
wasn't so sad, in fact Jewish.

People react in different ways to this situation.
Some write poetry, some get mad, some people leave. In one case
i could completely understand the reaction, in other cases I
am sort of perplexed that people who are so much older than I,
have had their own companies, are brainy, are giving speeches
in their fields, take care of a family can be so affected by
something which is said on a email list.

At the time i assumed that it was just me and Scotty going
another round, just as we have done before. I mean, it's not
as if he hasn't done that sort of thing before. I guess it wasn't
just another round.

Celebrate humanity. Sing and sit under colored lights, while you got
the chance. Don't take everything, and everyone too seriously, just
the ones who are close to you.

baffled,
Zazie.
