Scottie, I don't know think Salinger was a genius like Mozart was, 
but I also think geniuses are not alike in most ways anyway.  I will 
further defend our author by thinking that his literary value in the 
last century and now this one has been important for young 
readers,teachers, readers, writers,and even some college scholars in 
ways that most writers's work isn't or at at least isn't able to 
sustain.
