'The hungry sheep look up & are not fed....'

I don't have any fears for the likes of Lucy-Ruth or
Amber, though. I'm just delighted - but not surprised,
since they're obviously natural writers - that their instinctive
curiosity about the ways of language has survived
the currently fashionable indifference to grammar among
    'teachers' of English.

I can imagine how smugly those same teachers will claim
credit for the girls'originality & creativity; when, really,
all they've done is neglect the ability of the rest of their
children to link one clear thought to another.

One crowd I do feel slightly sorry for are the unsuspecting
victims in Class 2a, New York Central Academy for
the Socially Deprived. They've had it all too easy up to now.
Not any longer. Even as I write, Miss Baader is on her way
with a bloody great trolleyful of 'Grammar for Morons'.
