Re: on re-reading Franny

       I think most readers of Salinger appreciate the beauty in even the
simplest things- it is something that Salinger has, that we identify with. A
lovely way of pointing out the littlest things, like they are incredibly
important- for example the list of the "truly" beautiful girls he has seen,
in "The Laughing Man." That was so beautiful it made me want to cry. So,
no, Catherine, I don't think your post was uneccesary at all.
