    At this point I slink in behind the taller, leaner, meaner
    figure of someone who once expressed a similar plea
    a good deal more menacingly: ole Doc Kozusko.

    Could we all agree to edit the stuff to which we're replying
    & turn off the automatic, wholesale inclusion of previous messages?
    In Outlook Express, this can be accomplished quite simply
    by going to Options/Send & un-ticking the box: 'Include message
    in reply'.

    It's so disappointing to open what promises to be a feast
    of fresh fodder - only to fnd a single, scrawny line of comment
    surmounting a forest of stale material fenced behind a picket
    of those damnable little arrow heads.
