Welcome Daniel!
Thanks for the Welcome.

I read Dream Catcher a while ago and wrote a review of it. You can
find it at http://aw.colostate.edu/contents/contents_v1_ie.htm
just scroll down to reviews

Great review, I enjoyed the Book. There is a huge cultural difference
between the East coast and the West or at least New Mexico. Some of
Salinger's story details escaped me. Also the whole mid twentieth century
upper crust perspective. Hell, I'm the first in my family to get a degree
but by no means does that mean that there aren't some educated and
inteligent people in my family. I've been to New York once and a very close
friend of mine is from Floral Park (apparently he is related to the Goddi's)
but some of you east coasters might as well be Japanese or some other alien
life forms. But depsite all the differences I still enjoy Salinger's stuff.

PS I lived in colorado for 8 years and will be visiting friends in NM
next month...good part of the world, eh?

I love New Mexico ( 12th generation Albuquerquean) and I encourage you and
everyone to vist but please don't forget to go home ( just kidding,
seriously).

Daniel
