Yes Kim, I agree--if it was a book about WWII and maybe addressed
JDS's experiences it may make sense...I'm guessing (if he really did
give the blurb in the first place....) that the book addresses issues
of war that Salinger believes in deeply...it makes me want to look at
the book but I'm overwhelmed with student work at the moment. will
