To be honest, I don't know any full time, working academics who seriously
"esteem [academia] above other working environments." I'm sure there might be
some, but not in my circles. I know I don't.
Well, that's not true. I do think university-level academia, if constructed
properly by the participant, is significantly better than other working
environments in at least one respect.
