I consider you a liberal (tongue in cheek) based not by what party you vote
for but what ideas you champion. What you choose to criticize or not
criticize on this list. When I say liberal, I mean those who have chosen
the ideology of that the material world is all that or at least matters
most. You are switching meanings of liberal, which is a perfectly good
word. The western liberal tradition like all things has some valid and
invalid aspects but I am talking post Nietzsche liberals.

If you really want to get your terms straight, both the right and left
wings of the US political spectrum are working on enlightenment liberal
principles, for the most part, and postmodernism and Derrida and all
those terrible, terrible guys are actually critiquing the western
liberal tradition.
