Hi there,
I've just joined the banafish list and felt like introducing myself after
reading all these great postings...
I'm Chrisian and I'm Germany, though I'll be around in Dublin the next
months (hope to get net-access there soon). I got a copy of "Catcher" some
years ago and wasn't able to put it away 'til I finished reading. Recently
I chose Salinger for my intermediate examen and read a lot of his stories
and the critic's stuff.

I defintily agree with you on this - I never thought about it before, but
it actually fits pretty well. Though, Wynona isn't praying...
I've just read 'Down at the Dinghy' from Nine Stories and found it has some
similarities (regarding the effect) with Hemingway's "A Days Wait".
What do you think about that?
