I'm one too. Big time. I'm even a PC-newbe: I tried responding to a posting a few days back, but have no idea if i hit the right keys to actually post my posting. So let's have strength in #s, and neither of us be intimidated. My [posting?] was in response to a wife and husband who asked whether they were the only ones whose overwhelming reaction to Seymour was the same as mine: that Seymour was clearly ashamed of wanting to See More of little girls. Inasmuch as you, fellow newbe, are just discovering Salinger, maybe you'd want to read the Bananafish story after which this site was named, and see what you think. The only works I've read by JDS are the Bananafish story (years ago, wondering ever since what the ending meant), and Catcher in the Rye (years ago, then again last year when my son had to read it for school). Dave Richardson p.s. from you non-newbe's, any suggestions for next readings?
