Not a problem at all (: After all, she's a poet, and what we're effectively studying here is poetry and our own lives ... I've seen her twice actually, I saw her in 97 at an outdoor festival. I was surrounded by people just weeping and saying `I can't believe I'm watching Patti Smith!!!' And she was *definitely* worthy. Relevant still after all these years - she says a lot more to me than a lot of female singers I can think of (Fiona Apple, Jewel, Morrissette - this means YOU!) Funny that Leslie mentioned her taking her shoes off, because she did that at that rock festival too, and for some reason it drove everyone nuts, they cheered like crazy! Camille Well, I'm not surprised that she took her shoes off. Since she recorded the song, that's been a trademark. I must admit, when I listen to her, I also often take off my shoes and start "Dancing Barefoot". Namaste, Thor P.S.
