I have a feeling Mama Miriam Salinger was Catholic ... an episode in one of
the Salinger biographies made me smile and think of Bessie - she apparently
went down to the school and chewed out the PE teacher because JD got hit in
the head with a medicine ball. I'm sure there was chicken soup aplenty
after that one ... I think she must have been a Jewish mother at heart (:
