A little while ago we were discussing the fact that yes, in fact Nabokov
was fond of Salinger's work, and even chose one of his stories to read out
at a seminar as one of his favourite works (and no, I don't know which one
- I was hoping someone would help me with that, that's why I posted!). Have
you read `Pale Fire' by any chance? Because we were also talking about the
similarities between John Shade and Seymour. Boy oh boy, imagine if
Salinger and Nabokov had collaborated on something. *That* would have been
something to read!
