I don't know if this is what started the whole Nabokov thing or not, but I was in the University of Richmond library Thursday and actually found bound editions of "The Phoenix" containing the infamous Giles Weaver letters. In one of them, Weaver writes, " Nabokov says --- What? What did you say, you mental health industrialists? you don't care what Nabokov says? Never fear, I am a principles person and I don't persecute my companion in illness. " Conincidence? ________________________________________________________ G.H.G.A.Paterson (804)662-3737 gpaterso@richmond.edu ________________________________________________________
