Yes, it was a subscriber; indeed, only subscribers can post to the list.

(Geez, I took a couple of mental-health days away from a computer
screen, and this happens!  8-)

Sorry that everyone had to get the junk mail.  Even if I had been logged
in when it happened, I couldn't have stopped it ... sort of the price we
pay for the open marketplace of ideas, and all that.

Moral: No more mental-health days away from the keyboard!)
