Salinger_ by Elizabeth N. Kurian (isbn# 81-7076 035:3) is the book you are
hinting at and it's got some of the best religious thinking about
Salinger.  Eberhard Alsen's book is also good, but I think Kurian does the
best work in synthesizing religious strands in Salinger...(thanks sonny!)
