Boy, it's hard lines when we're discussing the tenuous link between Salman
Rushdie and JD Salinger! It's a long long wait between Joyce Maynard and
J.Dette Jnr's upcoming tome. Just to liven things up - whoever's in charge
of the long-feted Bananafish journal, do you feel like posting a couple of
the stories (with author's permission of course) for us to read, discuss
and otherwise forge tenuous JDS links with? Just a thought, in the absence
of anything else obvious to talk about (although I'm always up for a good
round of `De Daumier Smith: Salinger's Unsung Hero Who Nobody Likes But
Me' (: )

As for `Almost Heaven' - I am usually wary of books where the author's name
is that much bigger than the title, but I might make an exception in this
case, at least for interest's sake.
