I read it about a month ago and my feeling about the story is the same
as Colin's and Jim's. I enjoyed it. It's a very gentle coming of age
story. I'd have to read it again before I say anymore and right now
I'm taking a 5 minute "goldbrick break."

I'm amidst paperwork or, better put, "how-long-can you cut and paste
lists and tables in Microsoft before you either go crazy from the
boredom of repitition, or sneak out to the Bannafish list on the net -
God, this place should only be a "downstairs bar" with Bass on tap and
a large corner table for everyone - I'd be outta here in a minute. Just
saw the weirdest thing in the mens room though - some crazy kid with
his face all sopping wet, was sitting on the radiator, annoying the
hell out of the Bill Murray type lounge singer who looked like Bob
Dole's younger brother.
