Oh, dear. You are making the leap so many of us yearn for but can't
do without having breakdowns (of all sorts) along the way. May good
fortune be with you. I think the German word for what I wish you is
"Tschuss." It's one of the few bits I remember from studying German,
along with how to ask for a cup of coffee. But this would be an
absurd forum in which to ask you for eine tasse kaffe, wouldn't it?

Pursue your dreams, seize your pad (or your keyboard) with love and
devotion, and let's hope we hear from you again soon. It may be sans
royalties (there's nothing shameful in that) or it may be riding the
crest of a lovely wave. But good luck with whatever it is, and
please, yes, PLEASE, let us all know how you make out. Besides, by
the time you poke your head into this alternate reality, the personae
and stewardship may well have turned over several times!

Never underestimate the value of lint. You may find someone plucking
a tuft of it from your navel one night and then you will truly
cherish it for the prelude it can be.
