I suspect what my little clockwork soldiers fundamentally
object to is the unfairness of the advantages that money
& connections can bestow.
But, after all, looks, brains & cunning bestow even greater
advantage. John & Andy & Paul obviously possess at least
two of these in high degree. Yet I doubt they will see
that as grounds for *them* being disqualified from office.
People seem to recognise injustice where others are privileged
over them - but hardly ever where they themselves hold the edge.
