Re: My political career

Sorry Scottie,

The man's always been a dolt. Read his bio and check his records (academic,
financial, and arrest). This guy could have WON the Upper Class Twit of
the Year race. And just read any of his non-scripted remarks. You'll see
quickly enough that your comparison to Lincoln and Churchill is what is truly
comical.

As for the rest of them...

Callousness, greed, self-interest, historical short-sightedness, fiscal
irresponsibility, and the vengeful arrogance of the saved... These are
certainly not qualities I would look for in my friends; they are downright
frightening in my leaders. And, it should be mentioned, they have marked the
turning point for empires throughout time.

Let the contracts be signed and the profits be divided among chums, let the
war be billed to the children, let the taxes be cut for the rich, let the
programs be slashed for the poor, and let the bombs continue to drop
exclusively on small nations who won't fight back much. It's the
irresponsible and cowardly philosophy of rich frat boys who never grew up and
who use their power, now like then, to bully and to frighten. And then, when
asked, let the Lord God be invoked in case anyone has any doubts as to the
source for your authority. It's the response of the unquestioning ideologue,
and in the long run it will only make the world less stable and less safe,
not more. Wait and see.

It's all a familiar formula. It's all been done before. And it's always ended
badly.

But history was never George's best subject in school. In fact, he had no
best subject (unless you count partying).

Yo. Invite the brothers over for a beer. You know, to watch the fireworks.
Don't worry, we'll pay the bill and clean up the mess tomorrow, man. Or
better yet, wait and let the pledges do it. Rock on!

Indeed.

PS: Sorry, no hippie here. Creative drug use, supporting prostitution as a
noble profession, a closet containing wild sex scandals... Read your
history, these things have always gone well with "a high end sporty Mercedes
with golf clubs in the back."
