myron makes good sense, especially in noting how poor the cliff's notes of
catcher are, and how useless cliff's notes are in general...and his
instructions about taking the ap exam are cool--just keep in mind that
your essay is going to be scored by at least two readers (though probably
more) sitting at a table, reading exam after exam for 8 hours a day, for
3-5 days...the best scores are recieved by essays that don't reflect a
cliff notes comprehension, but instead reflect a deep epxerience with the
particular piece of literature. Clear, focussed prose is bound to help
any test taker improve since AP readers are like slaves to an endless
stream
of student writing and will instantly apprciate prose that doesn't require
correcting or convoluted comprehending.

will (been there, done that...)
