sonny, you make some fine parallels with time, life and fiction and i
think you may be right to see ray ford's inverted marriage values as a
salinger marital frontier...but who knows? From most of what is known
about claire douglas, she is neither muriel nor franny anymore than jds is
holden or buddy and probably not much more than we are all muriel...will
