Yes! An early Performa model, if not a Mac Classic (perhaps even a
IIe!...remember tpying "catalog" to get a dir of the drive?).

Then again, JD could have mislead us all and skipped the early PC
revolution, going directly from manual typewriter to writing his own
operating system: Glass OS. You get the usual windows, but all your text
files appear as haikus and the dos prompt only understand koans. The
screen saver, of course, is four or five Salinger characters sitting
around chain smoking. Or Franny writing stuff from Sappho or Epictetus
with chalk on your screen...
