tim makes a good point--i think it was luke seeman who first set the
"manners" here when he agreed to shut down his "holden server" not for
legal reasons but to respect "mr. salinger." it's not always clear how
good readers on a list like this handle text because copyright online is
still murky, but at least it is clear that we intend to honor Salinger's
words and give them the respect they deserve--thanks for your good post,
