Obligatory Salinger: I re-read "Bananfish" this morning before work.
What a way to start the day. I had forgotten about the brief interlude
in the elevator shortly before the end. That's so important. The stark
contrast between his demenor with children (inosence, the imagination,
what have you) and w/ adults is crucial and really enjoyable.
