I recieved the articles from a friend, so they've been cut out. This is
all I can tell from them:

This is apparently a regular column in the New York Observer. The first
column is from January 13 and the second from February 3, both 1997.
Sorry, that's all I can tell from what I have. I would write the articles
out, but they're rather long and I'm short on time. Hope you're still able
to get ahold of them. Maybe if someone has access to the New York
Observer, they could tell everyone the specific issues and pages for these
two articles.
