And I am not saying that they are nasty. The problem is that our 'main'
library is horribley understocked. A few summers ago I was on a Nin/Miller
kick and the only book they had of Millers available was "Nexus" and with
Nin, it was just a few of her books as well. This was the 'main' library
for a city of over over 250,000 people (if not more). The satalite
libraries thoughtout the whole county were no better. My old college
library is woefully understaffed as well as 'under booked'. For refrences
its alright, but when i went looking for certain items (fiction related),
they had even less of selection then the main library. We have two other
major colleges in our area, Grand Valley State University and Calvin
College. Both, I am sure have more then adequate libraries, just that with
my work schedule, I don't have time to drive out there and check them out.
And my weekends are pretty much shot as well. So when it became available
to me that Hapworth was coming out in book form, i put an order in with
Barnes and Noble.

Its just not relevant to assume that everyone is going to be able to get
their hands on the mircrofiche film AND/OR be able to track it down in
their spare time.

For someone who knows "next to nothing" on the situation, your making a lot
of assumptions. Hapworth was slated to be released in February (as far as I
knew, maybe earlier then that), and has been put on hold ever since. When
I got the phone call from Barnes and Noble that it was not going to be
released til may/June, I emailed the list to find out if this was the same
story that everyone else was getting from where they had spoken of putting
the book on hold (whether through amazon.com or through their local
bookseller.)

One person commented on it, saying that if I was correct, they were going
to be angry, and everyone else who did reply, replied to me privately to
tell me to track it down via interlibrary loan. Which basically did not
answer my question, and it seemed that others were as clueless as I was in
whether Hapworth is coming out or not, and when.

I haven't read it, I wasn't born until the early 70's, I can personally
wait a few more months for the book version.

They put the order in through the publisher themselves, which I believe is
a University printing house down south. And this is what the publisher told
them. No one has corrected me when I posted before abotu Hapworth (ie date
of publishment), and no one else has ever stated anything differently either.

ttfn.
