Marc's new magazine is likely to be of interest and I urge you to support
it by visiting marc's web site http://www.roofbeam.com/bananafish.html
or emailing him directly at marc@roofbeam.com

My piece is not part of a novel (I'm working feversihly at the moment on a
piece of fiction and it's four thousand words are not novel bound!) but my
essay
may be one of the more coherent pieces on "Hapworth 16, l924" as well as
offering some speculative thinking about mr. salinger reasons for
publishing a fifth book. The article's
title is "Text as Salinger Go-Between in Hapworth 16, l924" and I hope you
will read it because I have tried to make the story's best elements more
clear to readers. I also hope you will read it just to tell me what you
think since I am one author who welcomes reading responses and promises to
listen carefully to your ideas.

Buy a copy of Roofbeam if you can--subscribe if you feel generous--Marc
is a selfless guy who loves literature and is enhancing our lives with
his some extraordinary publishing and editing work. will
