EARLY-WARNING ALERT FOR BANANAFISH LIST

What?
=====
Because of system maintenance scheduled for accounts on many NYU systems
this week, email receipt and delivery will be affected during an overnight
period. The schedule calls for some services here to be suspended from
Monday evening, April 20 at 7:30 pm until Tuesday morning, April 21 at 7:00
am. During part of this period, the mailing list service will be frozen
while a large block of NYU accounts is modified.

Since the "bananafish" list lives on an NYU system, it will be affected,
even though it is not an official NYU resource.

So?
===
The list will be silent for some or all of the period cited above.
Messages submitted will be queued up on a special system at NYU that will
capture all list mail and properly deliver it when maintenance is complete.
The plan is that no list mail will be lost; it will merely be delayed. At
worst, it will be returned to the sender. If this happens to you, please
resubmit your bananafish message on April 21, after about 9 am. All times
above are US Eastern time.

Cheers!
