Hey All, I was just reading a Bob Dylan biography sort of book that said there was talk about Bob playing Holden in 1962. So let's see, Bob has been sought to play Woody and Holden, I have an idea here; What if Bob went on the road in a one man dinner theater show where he played, John Smith, Ben Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Mark Twain, John Dillinger, Woody Guthrie, Holden Caufield, and then himself ( although maybe he would have to do some sort of epilogue as Bart Simpson perhaps) I think this would be a huge success, giving people a true picture of all these American heroes all done in a Oklahoma drawl by way of a kid from Hibbing who heard a lot of Folkaways records. Hell, I'd go see it. I know we played the, "Who would play Holden?" game just recently, but I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on Bob Dylan as Holden Caufield. I for one think that any similarities between an early 1960's Bob Dylan and Holden Caufield are dispelled by the fact that Bob had a clue. Best, Robert
