I guess all I can say is that I wish that were true. . .I don't trust
people with power and feel safer, myself, when all forms of it are
somewhat distributed.
The very value of guns is that they can indeed maim and kill quite well.
Sometimes that's needed, most of the time just the threat is good enough.
