Melinda, and anyone else who may be interested,

I know that this is an old post, but I'm just now getting caught up with my
reading, so I'll apologize in advance.

I did locate a Faulker list when I came across this website:
http://tile.net/listserv/

It's another listserv search engine, though I think that it may be out of
date. For instance, my search on bananafish turned up the subscribe
information for the old server at NYU. (Not that this is a shameless hint
or anything directed towards our friendly neighborhood list owner. I just
thought I might mention it.)

Another listserv server is http://www.onelist.com but the Faulkner list on
there doesn't look like it's active. Hope this helps.

Regards,
Cecilia.

ObSal: Last evening, I had the opportunity to meet with the much younger
sister of an old friend. In between telling me how, er, "hot" some guy
named M 'n M is and how her mother just didn't understand that it's okay to
wear a cropped "hoochie mama" shirt (I secretly thought her mother was
right), she launched into a diatribe against how unfair it is that she had
to read _Lord of the Flies_ before school started. I gifted her with an "Aw
sucks to yer arsthma" which she didn't understand and she told me that the
only book that she'd read in school that year "that was any good at all" was
Catcher. It made me smile. It also made me realize that, in her eyes at
least, I'm old.

Sigh.
