Would you all mind terribly if I dropped another shameless plug for a
short story I've written? Uh, uh! Before any of you answer, I'll go
ahead and let you read it before you decide whether or not you mind if I
plug it. That way your judgement will be very educated, and that's what

-- I'll assume that lull in the number of posts to bananafish recently
has been a direct result of an increase in time spent at
www.whiteshoe.com searching for my work and for other Salinger
references. My friend and yours, Quinn Warnick, the editor of White
Shoe, as it turns out, is in fact a fellow bananafish who has yet to
delurk -- that's right, he's lurking -- shame on him for not speaking
up.
