Pete:
Years from now, all we'll know is that we don't like Communism. We
won't know why, what it really is, or where it really came from, or
what its motive was when it first came out, but we will remember our
finger-waggin fathers and grandfathers and their stories.

me:
Why years from now? This year in my European history class most of
the kids at the end of the year still ddnt know. And in general I
find that kids my age [16] could realy care less.
More so, arent our "finger-waggin fathers and grandfathers" just
telling us stuff about communism that is based on propoganda that they
recieved during whatever war they were growing up with? The communism
that the general population thinks of when they refer to communism of
course isnt the pure form, rather, its the communism from exactly
waht youre afreaid of, stories.
Regardless though, what I was trying to say is that this unfortunate
phenomenon of ill-informed people is already here, at least in the
people that I come in contact with.
