Well, look at you, you bunch of wily characters. I went through Sean's
filmography (Bringing Up Baby is one of my all-time favorite movies) and
the only person I could think of who'd been in all those films was old
Cary Grant. So who the hell was this Archie? That was when I checked
out old Cary's biography and there it is, born Archibald Leach.
I'm afraid, however, that if you'll allow me to offer my own opinion,
that I'd have to disagree with the both of you. Herr Bowman should be
played by Richard Harris. He's the only actor that I know of who can
manage that singular mixture of madness and charm.
(Goofballs.)
I'd have Ethan Hawke play Sean, by the way. That is, if I were going to
cast the bananafish, which I'm not. Really.
