drinking one (1) glass of wine a day is actually good for your health, heart issues etc.
We say "overdaad schaadt" which means "to much hurts" and i believe you usually say 'all in moderation''
maybe if you say that you don't drink, you do it with a certain kind of smugness? Just asking ...
Or maybe when you say it, you should immediately add something like "but hey i don't mind people drinking, it's just me
" which is actually not so good for you self esteem (?)
So, you could go the 'artist' way and say "Because, I don't want to" which is a sure-discussion/conversation killer ...:)
