I've always loved SAI because it is my favorite part of Salinger's work:
Buddy's love of Seymour. [A friend of mine once asked me, do you love Seymour
or do you love the way Buddy loves Seymour?]

And it is aware of the criticism. Is there a genre for this type of work?
Po-mo? That's the same reason I love Woody Allen's Stardust Memories. I find
it pleasing for artists to continue on with their work, thumbing their noses
at the critics. )Perhaps because I never liked the criticism of mine; the
critics just don't get it.)
