That's possible. It seemed to me Holden had a humane streak in him --
he cared about preserving innocence, and I've always thought of that as
his primary motivation for wanting to be a Catcher. It comes from the
same motivation that made him want to erase all the "Fuck Yous" from the
walls of the Museum of Natural History.

But that thing with his brother....well, I can see that.

Something else to keep in mind next time I read it :)
