Hi Kim,
Yes, Stanley and Terry Southern and Peter George wrote the screenplay, VERY
loosely adapted from Peter's novel *Red Alert*.
But I understand that much of the Sellers characterization was largely
Sellers' as well, and that it was Von Braun who was the original inspiration.
In any case, you have to love it....
