Pari/The Iranian version of F&Z

Have any of you actually seen pari? i Spoke with a (very) good
friend in france today who happens to be iranian and a fellow fan of JDS. He
is trying his best to get me a copy. There are problems between European and
US tape sizes and types, and i will not see him (and thus the movie) untill
x-mas, if not later... PLUS no subtitles... (actually i think i will like
this better... it would only distract from the movie.) I would be VERY agains
a hollywood F&Z, but somehow i feel really good about this one... he
understands my love for Salinger... he promises not to say a word of
translation or otherwise during the first watching... and after that it is my
decision... right now i am attempting to learn Farsi... not an easy task... i
guess i was just wanting an opinion if someone had seen it as to rather i
should try harder to learn Farsi... or if i'm waisting my time... oh and
btw... i don't know if it can even be found in US... i guess just because of
all the trade barriers between the two nations... I went to Virgin Megastore
in NY... and it wasn't even on their computer... so if anyone would really
like to see it... (i'm still debating this question myself) i will try to
work something out (any suggestions?) (oh and please do that off-list so as
not to disturb anyone else)... also what are everyones thoughts on the
existance of Pari? Yet again i remain indecicive... sorry guys for my
lurkish tendancies... but my incoherancy and poor spelling keep me a shy
typer... (and blantant overuse of elipses and parentheses)...
