=46inally.  Thank you.  I was beginning to despair that amongst the
musings here, this list was really just pixellated genuflection.  I
sensed a little muted disapproval (between the lines) when I mentioned
the angry pic a while back and while I don't suppose everyone here
marches to the same tune, I worried that if I ever wanted to make my
occasional voice heard, I'd have to be (over)careful not to diss the
man.

Obviously, I admire much of Salinger's work, but I draw a fairly heavy
line these days at worrying overmuch about his sensibilities.
